Oded Israeli - a Biography:

Oded Israeli was born in the city of Rehovot, Israel in 1933 and has been a member of Israel's Painters and Sculptures Association since 1953. He has been living in Beer Sheva since 1962 and has two daughters and three grandchildren. Oded paints with oil on canvas.

He studied painting with Y. Simon, Mosaic with Y. Anski and Fresco with S. Seinberg, but considers L. Roth and S. Saba, with whom he studied Plastic Art, as his most influential teachers and masters. Roth and Saba enabled Oded to lay the foundation for his artistic thinking, line, colour and composition.

The fruits of his endeavors have been exhibited in various venues in Israel, and, among others, in these venues abroad:

  • 1977, XII Grand Prix International d'Art Contemporain de Monte Carlo, Monaco
  • July 1981 - August 1982, The Inaugural Exhibition of the Japanese Artistic Society, toured various cities: Chiba, Okinawa and Nara, Japan
  • July - August 1984, National Gallery, Bon-Marche, Seattle, USA
  • November 1988, as part of the International Paris Salon '88, at the Paris City Hall, by invitation of the International Arts Concil / Club des Amis de l'Europe et Arts.
